Sex and the Office

Slate has an interesting article about the history of women in the workplace and the sexual tensions that ensued. As Julie Berebitsky points out in Sex and the Office: A History of Gender, Power, and Desire, sexual relationships—consensual or not—have long been considered a threat to productivity and morale, eclipsing the mid-century trope of the […]

More on Being Hit On or Checked Out

I posted about being “checked out” not long ago. I noted that many women find it creepy. I also noted that many men find it creepy to be checked out by gay men. I came across this tale today: We were discussing homosexuality because of an allusion to it in the book we were reading, and […]

Obama’s Dating Tips

He scored a winner, so I thought I’d share tips Obama recently gave on dating, and his first date with Michelle. “I took her to the Art Museum at the Art Institute, I was trying to impress her, to show her I was a real culturally sensitive guy. And it worked!” “It worked!” the first […]

In more prom news: Alabama’s Tuscaloosa County School System will allow its lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students to attend prom with same-sex dates. The school district also has recognized the right of students to wear clothing with slogans expressing acceptance of LGBT people.

Maybe Kneecaps Can Be Sexy, After All

In responce to my post on photoshopping out knees caps, here’s a bit of better news. Today’s word of the day at the Center for Sexual Health and Pleasure is: Gonyphilous: sexually attracted to knees. Derived from Greek gony (knee) and philein (to love).

Photoshop nightmares. Forever 21 is featuring an advertisement for skirts where the model has no kneecaps. I’m all about looking your best, but this is impossible.

Facts About Trans Sexual and Reproductive Health

Trans issues became center stage when a trans woman was kicked out of Miss Universe. And in Alaska, conservatives are putting out scare ads over Prop 5. With those things in mind, it seems to be a good time to highlight health facts from the National Center for Transgender Equality.

He is called Daddy and she loves sitting on his lap. She is his little girl and she loves the fact that her daddy will take care of her and will make sure that she stays a good little girl. She is not under 16, 17, or even 18. She is a fully-grown woman, consenting […]

Score One for the Strippers

Via HuffPo. Score one for the strippers. A proposed tax on strippers was effectively killed by Tennessee’s legislature this week, the Tennessean reports. The bill, sponsored by Republican Rep. Joe Carr, would have placed a 20 percent sales tax on items sold at “sexually oriented businesses,” and it would also force strippers to pay a […]

The Art of Erotic Spanking

I myself never use spanking as a form of punishment. I suppose the main reason is I am fascinated with the female ass. Just something about it. Other than that spanking can be very erotic. Pleasurable for both parties if done correctly. Your partner can actually reach an organism during play if done correctly. There […]

Here’s a review of the vibrator ‘Life’ by Leaf. Life is a curved, bright green vibrator that is part of the Leaf Line by Swan Vibes. Are We Moving Past Orientation Labels?

Some reflections on sexual orientation lables and the show Skins over at Bitch Magazine: I started watching Skins recently, and I am blown away by the show’s liberal approach to sexuality. It’s a show in which teenagers have lots of sex, and while it’s not always as sex-positive as I had hoped (one episode I […]
